After 10 years of planning, controversial design and cutting edge construction, the Museum of liverpool opened it’s doors today. I love the building and think it is a fine, highly photogenic addition to the Liverpool waterfront. I was lucky enough to photograph it for Building magazine when it was just taking shape a couple of years ago. I got there at dawn to catch the first light across the Albert Dock for some establishing shots and then met my contacts to go on-site for the day. It was a great shoot and fun to play with juxtaposition of the new building against it’s iconic neighbours, the Three Graces.
